Vancouver Island native Dr. William Carpentier was NASA’s flight surgeon for Apollo 11. NASA was concerned astronauts could bring back moon germs, so Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins were in quarantine for 18 days, and Dr. Carpentier was there with them. Mike Armstrong reports.
