The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of Ocean Exploration and Research said a deep-sea exploration crew searching for giant squid in the Gulf of Mexico captured the 12-foot long tentacled sea creature rising from the darkness on a deep-sea camera called the Medusa on June 19.
