Poplar Grove Winery in Penticton has been granted the zoning to build a 20-room luxury hotel.
The Agriculture Land Commission would not let the winery build the project on designated farm land.
Poplar Grove reduced the size of the project to satisfy city planners and build it on property currently occupied by a house.
