Fire at Penticton Speedway property sends black smoke skyward

Penticton residents were distracted by a large plume of black smoke rising from the hills east of the South Okanagan city on Saturday afternoon.

The Penticton Fire Department chief says tires were on fire and they have extinguished the blaze.
