New software tracks planes in real time worldwide

A new satellite tracking system for aircraft has launched, aimed at improving aviation safety. Until now, air traffic controllers could only guess the exact location of planes flying over oceans or remote regions. As Jackson Proskow reports, Canada played a role in creating the new technology.
