Alberta coal communities fear becoming ghost towns with plan to shut plants down
Description
March 16, 2019
All coal-fired power plants in Canada must shut down by 2030, as part of Canada's plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions. But the coal mining towns that rely on the business for jobs fear they'll become ghost towns and want the federal government to help. Heather Yourex-West reports from Parkland County near Edmonton.
