Fareed Khan of the Rohingya Human Rights Network said on Monday that Canada has taken commendable action towards the Rohingya crisis recently. However, But Khan also criticized Canada and the international community for not acting sooner even though data was available last year. He said that they “failed the Rohingya” when they “watched from the sidelines as the Myanmar government unleashed genocidal horrors.”
