Kelowna residents protest housing project for homeless

About two dozen residents who live near a proposed 52-unit supportive housing facility in Kelowna protested outside an open house for the project Thursday night.

The residents wore placards that said “Right Project. Wrong Place.”

The project for 2025 Agassiz Road behind Orchard Plaza would be a so-called ‘wet’ facility, where residents would not have to abstain from drugs or alcohol.
