Work begins on Kingston’s third crossing

Kingston’s $180 million bridge project, known as the Third Crossing, is starting to gain momentum. With political funding and council approvals in place, engineers have started doing testing drilling of the Cataraqui River. A barge and drill are currently mapping out the riverbed for future bridge support piers which, in some places, will be up to 40 metres deep.
