Government needs to take actions to protect ‘all marine animals: environment commissioner

Environment Commissioner Julie Gelfand announced Tuesday that her audit had found that the government had a duty to protect all 40 marine animals in Canada, but that it had failed to do so – instead, focusing on three whale species at a “crisis point.”
