Former fisheries minister Dominic LeBlanc said Wednesday his government “still feels strongly” that indigenous peoples should participate in offshore fisheries, after he was found guilty of violating conflict of interest rules related to a plan to award a controversial clam fishing license to a First Nations company with ties to the minister.
