Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland said Saudi students were “very much welcome” to study in Canada, as the Middle Eastern kingdom escalated the feud by suspended scholarships for roughly 16,000 students studying in Canada, but said it would be up to the students, their families and the Saudi government to decide.
