Roger Neilson Public School in Peterborough l has been chosen as the site of Canada's first public elementary research school in a partnership between Trent University and the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. The new school will bring teachers and researchers together to find out more about how young people learn and to explore best practices for teaching. Until now such research schools have only been present in private schools.
