Florida Governor Rick Scott signed the Marjory Stoneman Douglas School Safety Act Friday. The state’s first gun control legislation enacted after the Parkland school massacre on February 14. The bill provides new mental health programs for schools and provisions to keep guns away from people who show signs of mental illness or violent behavior.
