Romance Scams: What they are and how to avoid being a victim

In Canada last year, 710 victims lost $17 million through romance scams, in which lies and deception are used to become involved with a person before stealing their money. In Edmonton, 10 victims lost $396,000. Detective Linda Herczeg from Edmonton police talks about it happens and how to avoid being a victim.
