Thu, Jan 18: Skating on Mount Royal’s Beaver Lake – a popular pastime for decades – is now a thing of the past. The city has decided to permanently shutter the natural ice rink due to fluctuating temperatures which make the rink unsafe. Global’s Phil Carpenter reports.
