Myanmar’s leader seeks to avoid ‘collateral damage’ amid calls to tackle Rohingya genocide

Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of Myanmar and a Nobel Peace laureate, said on Wednesday that she is concerned about the a conflict between “Muslims” and “Bengalis” in the Rakhine region, but would not denounce what the UN has called a genocide against Rohingya Muslims.
