Municipal fire crews helping save homes threatened by wildfire near Kelowna

It is not contained and still considered out-of-control. But it has been beaten down. It has been six days since the Philpott Road wildfire near Kelowna erupted into a major blaze within two hours of starting. The interface fire continues to grow but not by much. That has taken the pressure off fire fighters including crews whose main job is to protect homes and other buildings.
