Call for more firefighters in Kelowna

The Kelowna Professional Firefighters Association says they needed more resources on the initial attack of the Truswell Road fire. City council approved the Kelowna Fire Department Strategic Plan last year, that would include hiring 12 more firefighters by this summer. But in December’s budget meetings, council deferred the hiring.
