PTSD not the only factor in Nova Scotia triple murder-suicide, experts suggest

Fri, Jan 6: Ardath Whynacht, a sociologist at Mount Allison University says the media’s focus on PTSD in the Lionel Desmond case is counterproductive and furthers the stigma surrounding mental illness. She says she hopes the tragedy in Upper Big Tracadie, N.S. will prompt a discussion surrounding intimate partner violence.
