Liberals’ NDP-inspired HST rebate on hydro bills falls short for Horwath

Ontario NDP leader Andrea Horwath called on the provincial Liberals to eliminate the entire harmonized sales tax (HST) added to hydro bills, instead of an announced plan to just rebate the province’s eight per cent portion of the tax to offset soaring costs for ratepayers.
