Patching up Winnipeg in aftermath of Wednesday’s storm

Darkness crept over southern Manitoba following Wednesday nights storm and lightning show. The aftermath resulted in power lines down across the city; 48,000 people without power at the peak across the province, according to Manitoba Hydro; trees on power lines; trees on cars; and even roofs ripped right off their buildings.
