Canada to welcome up to 305,000 permanent residents in 2016

Immigration Minister John McCallum announced a new immigration plan on Tuesday, which will see the Canadian government welcome between 280,000 and 305,000 immigrants as permanent residents this year, the highest targets committed by the country in recent decades.
