In recent years, Alberta’s aspiring veterinarians had to move to Calgary to pursue their dream — but an agreement with the University of Calgary will see a new Pre-Veterinary Medicine diploma program launching at Lethbridge Polytechnic this fall. As Justin Sibbet reports, students will then have the option of completing their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Calgary or graduate qualified for other specialities in animal care and agriculture.
