Alberta UCP considers own legislation on MAID
Description
The UCP is expected to introduce legislation limiting who can access medical assistance in dying — or MAID — later in the spring session.
The legislation will target groups that currently do not have access but could be eligible. Rose Carter, a health lawyer who was appointed by the federal government as vice-chair of the expert panel on medical assistance in dying and mental illness, joined Global News Morning Edmonton to talk more about the issue.
