Moe says reviving Canada-India trade talks would be ‘a real positive’
Description
February 25, 2026
At a press conference on Wednesday, Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe says reviving stalled Canada-India trade talks would be “a real positive” for both the province and the country as he prepares to join Prime Minister Mark Carney on a trade mission. Moe says Saskatchewan has “been waiting some time” to see broader negotiations resume, while also pressing for relief from tariffs on pulse crops. He adds that Canada can find economic common ground with India even where political disagreements remain.
