Two killed, dozens hurt after explosions rip through Pennsylvania nursing home

Two people were killed and at least 20 others injured after a pair of explosions and a fire tore through the Silver Lake Nursing Home in Bristol Township, northeast of Philadelphia. Officials believe a gas leak sparked the blasts, which caused a partial collapse and shattered windows throughout the facility, prompting an urgent rescue operation. Firefighters and police pulled residents from windows, stairwells and collapsed sections, with all patients and staff later accounted for and taken to area hospitals. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro called the incident “a very, very tragic moment for this community,” as investigations into the cause continue.
