Several highways out of Vancouver are submerged and hundreds of property owners in the Fraser Valley have been ordered to evacuate. Officials report that the floodwaters have now peaked; however, more heavy rain is forecast. Plus, the federal government has announced that the first phase of a high-speed rail project will connect Ottawa and Montreal. Construction is expected to begin in 2029.
