Six more projects have been announced that the prime minister claims will make Canada stronger, more self-sufficient and establish the country as a clean energy superpower. The so-called nation-building projects include an Inuit-owned hydro electricity project in Nunavut, three critical mineral mines in New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario and a liquified natural gas facility in northern B.C. Also included is the North Coast Transmission Line that will tie together a conservation corridor in B.C. and Yukon. Aaron McArthur reports. We don’t often hear from the head of Canada’s Security Intelligence Service, but today, following what his counterparts in the U.K. and Australia do, Canada’s top spy gave the first of what’s expected to be an annual speech outlining the complex threats Canada faces.
