Though initially eliminated in Canada in 1998, measles is making a comeback and the country has officially lost its measles elimination status. South of the border, the weather could add to the turbulence surrounding the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. Thousands of flights have been cancelled after air traffic controllers and security staff – who had been working without pay for weeks – stopped showing up. And, the spouses of some Canadian veterans are speaking up. Plus, more than 26,000 Canadians came to South Korea’s aid after troops from the north invaded in 1950 – but the conflict is often referred to as “The Forgotten War.”
