Voters in New Jersey chose Democrat Mikie Sherrill, a congresswoman and former Navy pilot, as their next governor. Meanwhile, in Virginia, former Democratic U.S. Representative Abigail Spanberger celebrated her victory in the race to become the Governor of Virginia, marking a key moment for the Democratic Party ahead of next year’s mid-term elections.
