A new Ipsos survey for Global News shows 64 per cent of Canadians believe the federal government should block foreign buyers from purchasing natural resource companies. Support for protectionist measures is strongest among older Canadians, with 71 per cent of those aged 55+ backing limits on foreign ownership. Ipsos CEO Darrell Bricker says the results reflect growing skepticism toward globalization and a desire to keep control of key assets.
