The Canadian Space Agency has announced four new Canadian-led scientific studies aboard the International Space Station. The research will track red blood cell loss, vision changes and other effects of long-duration spaceflight through MRI, ultrasound and blood testing. “Spaceflight is hard on the human body, I’ll lose muscle, bone, even balance, but studying those changes helps us understand conditions like aging, cancer and osteoporosis here on Earth,” said astronaut Joshua Kutryk.
