The Toronto Blue Jays took Game 1 of the World Series on Friday night defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 11-4. The game was tied 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning when the Blue Jays exploded for nine runs, highlighted by a Addison Barger pinch hit grand slam, the first ever in World Series history. “Just madness,” Barger said after the game of the crowd going wild during the nine run sixth inning. “They were ready during BP (batting practice),” said Blue Jays Manager John Schneider after the game.
