U.S. Supreme Court to hear arguments on Trump tariffs on Nov. 5
Description
September 20, 2025
Friday was the deadline for the Trump administration to submit its filing to the U.S. Supreme Court, explaining why tariffs are crucial not just to the American economy, but to the administration’s agenda as well. And across 49 pages, the government’s top lawyer laid out the argument explaining that denying Trump the ability to put tariffs on nearly every good imported into the United States could leave the country without any defences, in the event retaliatory actions are used by other countries.
