In Newfoundland, firefighters are battling dangerous and challenging wildfire conditions. High winds and hot, dry weather are fueling three major fires across the island, two of which are on the Avalon Peninsula. While the majority of out-of-control wildfires are in the northern Prairies, there are intense hot spots on the West Coast and across Atlantic Canada. In New Brunswick, with two fires burning out of control, the province has brought in restrictions on access to Crown lands and wooded areas. In Gaza Sunday, there were more reports of Palestinians being killed while seeking aid. Witnesses and health officials said at least 31 people died, accusing Israeli forces of firing at crowds. Plus, the streets of Montreal were packed for the city’s Pride parade Sunday.
