On Saturday night, a wall of mud crossed highway 40 — south of Kananaskis village — blocking the roadway. It happened in the middle of the busy august long weekend. The cleanup could take a few days. The city will be ending its extreme heat response, as of nine am Monday morning. When predicted daytime highs are above 29 degrees, and nighttime lows are forecast to be above 14 degrees for at least three days.
