14-year-old Montrealer receives new kidney from unexpected donor

It’s National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week. After years of waiting for the perfect match, and eight hours of surgery, a 14-year-old finally got what he needed from someone he never expected. It was a rare and complicated kidney transplant that’s the first of its kind in Canada. Global’s Tim Sargeant reports.
