Poilievre pledges tax cuts, crime crackdown and ethics reform under ‘Canada First’ plan

At a press conference on Sunday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said a new Conservative government would prioritize affordability, safety and ethics with his proposed “Canada First” Economic Action Plan. Poilievre also took aim at Liberal insiders, including party leader Mark Carney, and unveiled his party’s proposed Accountability Act 2.0, which he said would restore trust by banning shadow lobbying and forcing politicians to divest from conflicts of interest.
