At his first cabinet meeting on Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that on “April 2nd, the tariffs go on. Not all of them, but a lot of them. He added that “We've been taken advantage of as a country for a long period of time. We've been tariffed.” The tariffs are worldwide reciprocal tariffs and are separate from the March 4 border-related tariffs on Canada and Mexico.

At his first cabinet meeting on Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that on “April 2nd, the tariffs go on. Not all of them, but a lot of them. He added that “We've been taken advantage of as a country for a long period of time. We've been tariffed.” The tariffs are worldwide reciprocal tariffs and are separate from the March 4 border-related tariffs on Canada and Mexico.
