An asteroid impact today could be devastating. But a few billion years ago, an impact may have helped life exist. Scientists hope to learn more about that possibility with recently extracted samples from an asteroid called “Bennu”. And as Eric Sorensen reports, a Canadian studying the dust has found some of the building blocks of life.
