February 4, 2025
Canadian Public Safety Minister David McGuinty provided additional details Tuesday about the appointment of a “fentanyl czar,” though he declined to say yet whether anyone has been tapped for the role. McGuinty said the position would work together with federal and local law enforcement, attorneys general and Health Canada’s laboratories system, as well as officials from Global Affairs Canada.
