McGill University closes Macdonald Arena due to ‘ongoing financial challenges’

Members of a West Island hockey association that has been around for decades worry that their days on the ice are numbered. Many teams are desperate for ice time, following the closure of McGill University’s Macdonald Arena in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue. As Global’s Phil Carpenter reports, the university claims financial troubles mean the rink will likely never reopen.
