Proposed changes to the fee structure for several eye care needs has left Alberta optometrists “blindsided,” and in a tough spot – either absorb the pay and affect their bottom line, or pass it on to patients. As Global’s Skylar Peters reports, they believe it may leave Albertans either out-of-pocket, on long waitlists, or foregoing the care they deserve.
