Push to enshrine femicide in Criminal Code of Canada on anniversary of Montreal massacre
Description
December 6, 2024
At an annual ceremony in Montreal, where 14 beams of light fill the sky in memory of the victims of the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre, a 15th light was added to remember victims of femicide across the globe. Still not enshrined in the Criminal Code of Canada, Heather Yourex-West reports on the push to change that.
