Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was asked on Thursday if Canada would arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defence minister if they stepped on Canadian soil after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity over the conflict in Gaza. Trudeau responded by saying Canada is one of the founding members of the ICC and that the country will “stand up for international law” as well as “abide by all the regulations and rulings of the international courts.”
