Following a joint Thursday announcement from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Immigration Minister Marc Miller that Canada will reduce the number of new permanent residents by 21 per cent by next year, Conservative MPs questioned the Liberals’ intentions. The Opposition also alleged the federal government “shattered the system” and “broke the consensus on immigration” already.
