At least 22 people in central Beirut were killed on Thursday evening following an Israeli airstrike, amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah. The air raid on Lebanon’s capital — the deadliest in over a year of war — reportedly targeted two residential buildings in separate neighborhoods simultaneously. Several of the more than 100 injured victims spoke to reporters on Friday describing the “horrifying” strikes.
