A visitor will be in our neighbourhood this weekend — an asteroid that will temporarily become a second moon orbiting the Earth. About 11 metres in diameter, the “mini-moon” will not be visible through amateur telescopes but much larger telescopes will track it until late November when Earth loses its temporary partner until the next “mini-moon” comes by.
