Montreal police make arrests in connection with Mathis Boivin’s deadly opioid overdose

Montreal police arrested two alleged synthetic drug traffickers in connection with the death of a 15-year-old boy. Mathis Boivin died in December 2023 after he mistakenly took a single isotonitazene before going to sleep, thinking it was oxycontin. As Global’s Felicia Parrillo reports, the arrests come as a relief to the teen’s family.
